Commanding Signs and Wonders in Missions

TEXT: Mk. 16:15-20, Luke 9:1-2; Luke 10:1-2

INTRODUCTION

Signs and wonders are a part of missions. The only thing that shows that Jesus has resurrected and that He is greater than every other power on earth is His ability to perform miracles, healings, signs and wonders.

FACING THE CHALLENGES OF DEMONIC POWERS IN MISSIONS

  • Every missionary must be conscious of the fact that he will meet powers of darkness or territorial spirits controlling the area he is going. Luke 10:17-19
  • The power of Christ is demonstrated as we face the power of Satan in missions. Acts 13:3-13, Matt. 11:12
  • Jesus promised that the gates of hell shall not prevail - these gates of hell can come in any form or shape, but it shall not prevail. Esther 6:1-14
  • Missions is not without opposition and persecution but victory has always been the portion of the believer. Matt. 10:1
  • The power of God has never been defeated even when we are very weak and it seems as if Satan is roaring. 1 Peter 5:6-10

JESUS SAID - GO IN MY NAME

  • Nothing can harm us if we go in the name that has been tested and proved - Mark 16:17-20
  • All power is given to Christ and nothing can oppose it and abide. Matt. 28:18-20
  • Winning battle in missions is all about discovery - That name has overcome and through the blood they overcame. Rev. 12:7-12
  • If he says go in my name then he is behind his words to perform it. Jer. 1:4-12

NOTHING WILL HARM YOU - NOTHING CAN STOP YOU

  • Many people say after all man is man - especially when we justify ourselves for fear or wrong but behind every believer is a big God. Col. 2:15, Rom. 16:20
  • We can never beg Satan, rather he knows that his place on earth is the pit. Isa. 14:12-15, Jer. 51:13-14
  • He must vomit all he has taken captive. Job 20:15, Isa. 49:24-26, Isa. 59:19, Isa. 54:15, 17

CONCLUSION

Arise and fight the battle of faith.
