Making A Difference In The Kingdom - Part 1

TEXT: John 15:1-7

MEMORY VERSE

John 15:16: "You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that you should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever you shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it to you."

INTRODUCTION

The kingdom of the devil has been fighting against God's kingdom by every means available to stop the gospel from going on, but God is raising his passionate children to stand and work for his kingdom. It is time for God's children to realize the purpose of their new creation and kingdom citizenship and as such begin to work.

THE COST OF YOUR FREEDOM

• Jesus gave his life for the kingdom - The passion of love took his life. John 15:13.
• Nothing is comparable to the sacrifice of Christ on the cross, even when we deserve it not he died. Rom. 5:8.
• Jesus says my meat (food) is to do the will of my Father and to finish it - Natural things are not comparable to the value of the kingdom. John 4:31-35.
• The cost of freedom is always blood - Freedom is not free - Heb. 2:14-15.
• God became a man in Christ to serve humanity he created - Phil. 2:5-8.

THE VALUE OF THE KINGDOM

• Great Commission - Equal Sacrifice - John 20:21-22, Acts 5:17-21.
• Laying down your life for your brethren - 1 John 3:16, Acts 5:27-29, 38-42.
• Hazarding Life for the kingdom - Apostles Peter and Paul did it, Acts 9:11-16, Acts 15:25-26, Acts 12:1-5, Think about Mordecai & Esther - Esther 4:12-16.
• You must learn to stand for the heavenly vision - Acts 26:13-19.
• Your value of the kingdom is seen in your sacrifice. Luke 8:1-3.

LOVE IS MORE THAN WORDS

• The zeal of the devil - He knows his time is short and he is ready to give all. Rev. 12:12.
• Show your love by the way you give; love is all about giving. Acts 20:35.
• Any love that is not expressed is dead - your action shows your love. Acts 4:31-36.
• There is always opportunity to show love, especially in the body of Christ. 1 Jn. 4:7-12.

CONCLUSION

We can only make a difference in the kingdom as we begin to impart our lives to one another through the love of Christ in us. We must be addicted to the kingdom business as Jesus says; my meat is to do the will of him that sent me and to finish it. Discover the will of the Father for you and then finish it before you leave this world. Col. 4:17.
