Missions, Missionaries and Money

INTRODUCTION

When you understand missions, you will become a missionary or your money must be a missionary.

DISOBEDIENCE - A GREAT OBSTACLE TO MISSIONS

• The danger of being a captive to your former work. John 21:2-4
• Paul forsakes all that were gain to him in order to do the work of the ministry. Acts 19:26, Phil. 3:7-15
• The command of the great commission is still the same thing till now. Matt. 24:14, Acts 1:5
• Make disciples of all nations and not make convert of all people. Matt. 28:18-20
• Jesus sent 12 disciples in Lk 9:1 and they could not satisfy him, He later sent 70 others yet they could not satisfy Him. Luke 10:1, later He said pray the Lord of the Harvest to send Labourers for Harvest. Luke 10:2

WHERE ARE THE LABOURERS OF CHRIST?

• Nothing can change the great commission from sending human beings to sending angels. Isa. 6:8
• There are still people calling from different nations saying come over to our place and help us. Acts 16:8-13
• If hell is calling for missionaries to go and preach the gospel then the situation of the world is becoming worst than before. Lk. 16:23-31
• Mission is not only the work of pastors but the work of every open hearted Christ who is ready to serve the Lord. Lk. 10:1-2
• You can still use the left hand to handle your work or business and then use the right hand to handle the Bible for God's work. Acts 18:18, 24-28

WHY MUST MONEY CEASE BE OF MONEY

• Someone said if a pastor abandoned God's work for a secular one he will accuse him of not having the call of God. Neh. 13:10-14, Luke 10:25-37, James 5:1-3
• If a missionary is not supported we are simply telling such a person to look for another work to do. 3 John 1:2-8
• We must give to overtake the liar that has gone ahead of us with large money preaching lies. Matt. 28:11-15
• False religions are gone into all the world. Acts 8:9-20
• The devil is using all means to stop the word of God. Acts 13:3-12
• We must learn the example of many bible characters
