The Challenge of Missions

INTRODUCTION

When you value a thing, it becomes important and if it is important then you give your whole time and life for it.

A CHANGE OF MISSION

• Leaving the non-essential for the essential. Phil. 3:7-12
• Leaving fish to catch men. Luke 5:4-11
• The value you place on God will determine how you take Him and His work. Acts 16:19
• Your future greatness is determined by discovering the exact thing he wants you to do. Gal. 1:13-17, James 1:22-25
• I was not disobedient to heavenly vision. Acts 26:19
• You can stop your work to go on mission. Matt. 4:12-22

UNDERSTANDING MISSIONS

• Three dimension of missionary calling:
  a. A call from heaven. Isa. 6:8
  b. A call from the earth. Acts 16:8-13
  c. A call from hell. Luke 16:23-31
• Make disciples of all nations. Matt. 28:19-20, Rom. 10:13-15
• You cannot support what you don't value. Luke 16:10-13
• I will go before you - Isa. 45:1-3. Christ alone can save the world, but Christ alone cannot save the world. Mark 16:15-20, Job 33:19-28
• Many of us know about missions but are not involved in mission

SATAN KNOWS HE HAS BUT A SHORT TIME

• Redeeming the time for the days are evil. Eph. 5:16
• Satan is angry fighting daily to destroy men. Rev. 12:7-12
• Men that hazarded their lives for the gospel. Acts 15:25-26
• Not only to be bound but to die. Acts 20:7-14
• Pursuing the things ahead. Phil. 3:13-16
• Woe is me if I preach not the gospel. 1 Cor. 9:16-17
• The lazy man and the work. Prov. 6:6-11, Prov. 18:9
• Adding skill and training. 1 Sam. 16:17-18
• If you don't go neither sending somebody, you will be a missing Christian in the day of reward

MULTIPLYING YOURSELF FOR BETTER RESULTS

• Training people to catch the vision. Matt. 28:19-20
• Does all nations live in your country? If not multiply
• What you cannot do, others can do and where you cannot go others can go. Luke 10:1-7
