The Challenges of Destiny

TEXT: 1 Peter 5:6-10; Matt. 15:22-28; 2 Kings 7:1-20; Eccl. 10:10, 15-17; Eccl. 9:4-6

INTRODUCTION

Destiny is the planned end of one purpose of living on earth. Life has a beginning and also has an end. But before we begin our life on earth, God has already designed and planned our beginning and end, but it has to do with our acceptance to achieve God's purpose and mission in our life. No man can increase more than his level of reasoning. The more you grow in knowledge the more you grow in the affairs of life. What you think about yourself determines the people you relate with. What you term your enemy could be your greatest helping factor in life: 2 Sam. 23:8-23.

I - WHY SIT HERE TILL WE DIE

  • When you think so low you will obviously act low in life. 2 Kings 7:1-20
  • The level of your knowing determines the level of your doing. Prov. 24:3-4
  • When you live in the past you will be strange in a new generation. Numbers 13
  • What you have determines the level of help you offer to those in need. 2 Kings 7:1-20
  • If you refuse to draw the water of knowledge from the well of wisdom in other men's life you will be dry. Prov. 20:5

II - WHY DO MANY FAIL AND OTHERS SUCCEED

  • Many fail in life because of ignorance, some because of laziness, procrastination, fear, and others because they refuse to move to another level. Matt. 15:22-23
  • A lot of people think that God loves others more than them; they decide to abandon the faith. Matt. 15:24-26; Isaiah 42:1-3
  • Success is a choice and a fight. When you decide to succeed, you simply proceed and plan, fight until it happens. Matt. 15:22-28; Isaiah 43:1-2

III - DECIDE WHAT YOU WANT - RENEW YOUR MIND ABOUT LIFE

  • The only failure is the one who refuses to press forward in the midst of obstacles. 2 Kings 7:1-20
  • Poverty is absence of dreams and actions in the life of a man.
  • What you see and hear are not the final but God's word is the final. Ester 4:5-17
  • What happened to you and quitted has happened to many and yet they succeed. 2 Cor. 4:16-18
  • Man is not finished when he is defeated, but he is finished when he quits.
  • Just a little patience and you will make it to the top like others. 1 Peter 5:6-10
  • Some people change their ways when they see the light, but many others change their ways when they feel the heat.

CONCLUSION

Nothing good happens until you decide to face the obstacles that bring success.
