The Challenges of the Youth

TEXT: Jer. 1:4-8; Lam. 3:27-29

INTRODUCTION

The greatest things the youth need to discover and destroy are the things that easily make him or her go astray. What are those things that challenge and win the youth in every day battle.

THE YOUTH AND THEIR DESTINY

  • The battle of the devil against the youth is inevitable but every youth must understand he is chosen by God to fulfill a purpose on earth. Jer. 1:4-7
  • When Jesus died he shouted "It is finished" Christ has won the battle for the youth "It is not finished" The victory is in his name. 1 Cor. 10:13
  • Greater is He that is in the youth - This is all your victory. 1 John 5:4; 1 John 4:4
  • What is the greatest vision of your life? What do you want to be in the kingdom?

THE WORST THING THE YOUTH CAN FACE

  • The youth must be free from the temptation of the mind. Gen. 6:5
  • Pornographic photos, films are so dangerous for the youth. Gen. 3:6-10
  • The friend we keep who does not share our faith and values. 1 Cor. 15:33
  • What happens when you keep on disobeying the Spirit of God? Rom. 6:1-2
  • What if the Bible says nothing about it, yet you know it is wrong? Gal. 5:19-21
  • What if everybody chooses to do it wrong - what would you do? Rom. 14:12

THE YOUTH CAN TRIUMPH OVER TEMPTATIONS

  • Who takes the highest glory in everything you do? Eccl. 12:1-2
  • What is the best IDEA and ACTIONS that rules your secret place? Eccl. 12:13-14
  • Who rules over your mind, Christ, the devil or your flesh? 1 Cor. 3:16-17
  • When do you think youth can say no, at the beginning or at the end. 1 Cor. 10:12
  • Do you value gifts more than Christ or Christ more than gifts? Mark 8:35-38

MAKING TIME ALONE WITH GOD

Isa. 45:1-3; Isa. 41:10-16; Isa. 40:28-31; 2 Cor. 2:9

  • Do you find it very hard to spend time alone and pray or study God's word? Matt. 6:6
  • The mystery in the battle of faith is that even the smallest child or the weakest Christian who understands his authority in Christ wins and governs the battle against the kingdom of darkness. Isa. 59:18-21
  • Our secret prayers transfer the life of God into our being and this makes it impossible for satan to defeat us. Matt. 6:6; Luke 10:17-20; Eph. 2:4-7

CONCLUSION

The devil can never win you because of Him that has conquered for you.
