The Danger of Poverty

TEXT: Eccl. 9:13-17; Prov. 19:6-7

INTRODUCTION

God never had poverty in his plan whenever you hear poverty, the devil at work.

I - WHY GOD HATES POVERTY

  • Poverty is the nature of Satan because God created man to be great from the beginning.
  • No poor man can satisfy the desire of God in building the kingdom. Ps. 113:7-8; 1Sam. 2:8-9
  • The poor always complains and needs the help of people. 1 Kings 17:7-12
  • Poverty leads to lies and exposes to other sins
  • The poor will have by fulfill his purpose on earth. Luke 16:20-21

II - POVERTY A DESTINY KILLER

  • Poverty destroys destiny. Potentials and brings one finally to total destruction. Prov. 10:15
  • Poverty is a curse, reproach and shame. Prov. 10:15, Luke 2:22-24; Lev. 12:6-8
  • It is difficult to be poor and sit among princess until God has delivered you. Ps. 113:7-8
  • Poverty simply destroy not only a person but generations born and unborn

III - THE VALUE OF A POOR PERSON

  • The poor has no value in the sight of people. Isa. 53:2-3 - Even Jesus was despised.
  • The wisdom of the poor is despised and what he does is also despised. Eccl. 9:13-16.
  • The anointing of the poor is despised and even the miracles, teaching and preaching are despised.
  • The Ministry of a poor person is despised, his person, family, wife and children are despised.
  • The poor cannot boldly talk in the family nor in his community.
  • When Jesus was stripped of his glory, he was despised by all.
