Youth and the Ministry
TEXT: Prov. 27:1; John 4:34-35; John 9:4; Eccl. 9:10
INTRODUCTION
Procrastination has never helped the youth of any nation, church or community. When you delay,
you delay others that would have been great through you.
WHO ELSE IF NOT THE YOUTH
- Tomorrow I will do it, has always been the language of any youth that refuses the now calling of God.
Prov. 27:1; John 4:34-35.
- God is depending on the youth for the mission of today. He says GO! Matt. 16:15
- If Jesus made himself poor for you to be rich, why not use his rich wisdom, finance, knowledge,
strength, etc. He has invested in you for him. 2 Cor. 8:9
- If Christ has given to your life everything you need, why deny him your service while you are still
a youth. Eccl. 9:10
- The youth are the only laborers that last long because of their age. Matt. 10:1-5
LEARNING TO TAKE OVER THE BATTON
- Many youth shy away from the leadership of the church, they never know the great treasure
of God they have for today and tomorrow. Isa. 1:18-20
- When the youth constantly miss the fellowship of the saints, they will mix up with other youth
to achieve a purpose for the devil.
- Elisha needed to be close to Elijah to get the double unction of his master. How close are you to
your prophet?
- God said to Moses, lay hands upon Joshua to take over from you. Hew ill carry my people to the
next step of life. Do you have a Moses in your life? Deut. 34:5-12
THE YOUTH IMITATING THEIR SPIRITUAL LEADER
- God only does transfer of anointing when you are very close to your leader for a desire to serve.
Joshua 1:1-3
- When the youth follows after their leader, they turn to be leaders that others will follow. Joshua
1:16-18
- If youth are close to their leader with great desire learning to serve, they become great leaders
with lasting experience. 2 Kings 2:1-25
- God's promise is always with those youth that stay close to their leaders serving humbly and
helping to see all things go well. Joshua 1:3-9
THE YOUTH AND TEAM WORK
- Any youth that does not get involved in team work will always end up dry and wasted. Eccl. 4:8-12
- Jesus sent them two by two for the purpose of report and encouragement. Luke 10:1-2
CONCLUSION
God is looking for the flaming youth to aflame the kingdom.
